Domination and Total Domination on Asteroidal Triple-free Graphs

چکیده
We present the first polynomial time algorithms for solving the NPcomplete graph problems DOMINATING SET and TOTAL DOMINATING SET when restricted to asteroidal triple-free graphs. We also present algorithms to compute a minimum cardinality dominating set and a minimum cardinality total dominating set on a large superclass of the asteroidal triple-free graphs, called DDP-graphs. These algorithms can be implemented to run in time O(n6) on asteroidal-triple free graphs and in time O(n7) on DDP-graphs.

Domination Search on Graphs with Low Dominating-Target-Number
We settle two conjectures on domination-search, a game proposed by Fomin et.al. [1], one in affirmative and the other in negative. The two results presented here are (1) domination search number can be greater than domination-target number, (2) domination search number for asteroidal-triple-free graphs is at most 2.
متن کاملConnected Domination and Steiner Set on Asteroidal Triple-Free Graphs
An asteroidal triple is a set of three independent vertices such that between any two of them there exists a path that avoids the neighl.)ourhood of the third. Graphs that do not. co~,tain an asteroidal triple are called asteroidal triple-free (AT-free) graphs. AT-free graphs strictly contain the well-known class of cocomparability graphs, and are not necessarily perfect.. We present efficient,...
متن کاملOn the domination polynomials of non P4-free graphs
A graph $G$ is called $P_4$-free, if $G$ does not contain an induced subgraph $P_4$. The domination polynomial of a graph $G$ of order $n$ is the polynomial $D(G,x)=sum_{i=1}^{n} d(G,i) x^{i}$, where $d(G,i)$ is the number of dominating sets of $G$ of size $i$. Every root of $D(G,x)$ is called a domination root of $G$. In this paper we state and prove formula for the domination polynomial of no...
متن کاملTotal double Roman domination in graphs
Let $G$ be a simple graph with vertex set $V$. A double Roman dominating function (DRDF) on $G$ is a function $f:Vrightarrow{0,1,2,3}$ satisfying that if $f(v)=0$, then the vertex $v$ must be adjacent to at least two vertices assigned $2$ or one vertex assigned $3$ under $f$, whereas if $f(v)=1$, then the vertex $v$ must be adjacent to at least one vertex assigned $2$ or $3$. The weight of a DR...
متن کاملSigned total Italian k-domination in graphs
Let k ≥ 1 be an integer, and let G be a finite and simple graph with vertex set V (G). A signed total Italian k-dominating function (STIkDF) on a graph G is a functionf : V (G) → {−1, 1, 2} satisfying the conditions that $sum_{xin N(v)}f(x)ge k$ for each vertex v ∈ V (G), where N(v) is the neighborhood of $v$, and each vertex u with f(u)=-1 is adjacent to a vertex v with f(v)=2 or to two vertic...
